Kiln, MS - Picayune started the game with a 9-0 run and appeared as if they were going to run away with the game early.  But

Hancock would not go away and used the full court press to create some turnovers and only trailed by five points at the half.  The

3rd quarter was the difference in the game as the Tide outscored the Hawks 28-9 en route to a blowout win 89-58.  Brandon Brown

had a great night for the Tide (5-3, 1-0).  The senior forward led all scorers with 26 points and 7 rebounds.  Cordell Myles provided

a spark by coming off the bench with 12 points. Jarvis Dantzler had 11 points and Mark Dragon pitched in 10 points. The Hawks

(4-4, 0-1) were led by junior center Braxton Rockwell who had 20 points and Josh Ladner scored 14.

The Maroon Tide girls (6-4, 0-1) were not as fortunate on this night as they fell to the Lady Hawks by a score

of 64-51.
