Head Coach Tom Taylor
Taylor is a 1999 graduate of Ouachita Christian High School in Monroe, LA.
He attended Millsaps College in Jackson, MS for one year before transferring
to Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA from 2000-2004 where
he majored in Social Studies Education and Management.
While at Southeastern, Coach Taylor worked as an assistant coach for St.
Thomas Aquinas High School 2000-2001. In 2001, he was named Athletic
Director and Head Basketball coach for Mater Dolorosa Junior High in
Independence,LA
He then worked with the Southeastern Men’s Basketball Team from 2003-2005
as an Undergraduate and Graduate Student Assistant under Head Coach
Billy Kennedy and was a part of the staff that won back-to-back conference
championships and a trip
to the NCAA tournament. After his stint at SLU,
he took a position as the Freshmen and JV Head Coach and also served as
a varsity assistant at Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, LA, before
taking over the helm at Picayune in the summer of 2008.
Additionally, Taylor has worked with many AAU programs and summer camps
across the country. Taylor is single and currently resides in Mandeville, LA.
