Maroon Tide drowns Hawks 55-41

Kiln--The Picayune Maroon Tide started slowly, but eventually pulled away from the Hancock Hawks in the second half in
defeating them 55-41 in a non-region game.
Leading 9-8 with 1:20 left in the first quarter, the Maroon Tide went on a 16-2 run to build a 25-10 lead with 4:10 left in the
second quarter. Picayune led 27-15 at the half.
David McClain hit 2 three pointers in the third quarter and dished an assist to Chris Dees to keep the Maroon Tide ahead
comfortably with a 38-24 lead after three quarters.
Picayune would build a 20 point lead at 52-32 with 2:42 left in the game that allowed Picayune to clear the bench and give
everyone a chance to play.
The Maroon Tide (12-2, 2-1) was led by Brandon Fortenberry with 15 points and David McClain with 11 points, including
three 3 pointers. Chris Dees had 9 points and 8 rebounds. Ben Daly had 9 points and 4 rebounds.
