Maroon Tide rolls 67-40; Lady Tide falls 63-46 at Bay High

Coming off back to back one point road wins, Picayune used tenacious defense and a strong inside game to roll past Bay High at

the Tiger Dome in Bay St Louis.

Picayune jumped out to a 13-10 lead at the end of the first quarter went on an 8-0 run early in the second quarter to begin pulling

away.  Brandon Fortenberry scored with :01 left to give Picayune 26-17 lead at the half.  Fortenberry scored the first five points

of the third quarter to boost the lead to 31-17 and Picayune coasted the rest of the way.

Chris Dees tallied 22 points and 6 rebounds while Fortenberry had 16 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds to pace the Maroon

Tide (12-0, 4-0). 

Daron Bell had 13 points and Dimitry Johnson scored 10 points for Bay High (8-7, 2-2).

The Lady Tide (8-6, 1-2) never could get untracked and drop a Region 8-4A game to the homestanding Lady Tigers (10-6, 2-1).

Karly Moran poured in 21 points for Picayune while Bay High had three players in double figures with Jeremie Raboteau with 18,

Aalijuah Williamson with 15, and Kristian Lyons wiht 12 points.
