Picayune boys win; Girls lose at Pearl River, LA

Chris Dees pumped in 21 points and Justin Smith added 16 points for Picayune (25-40 in their 69-27 win over Pearl River, LA.

Alonzo Price had 11 points for the Rebels.

The Lady Tide dropped a 49-45 decision to the Lady Rebels.  Monique Brown had 18 points and Autumn Jackson added 14

points for Picayune (11-13).  Freshman Kyra Washington scored 12 points with 10 points coming in the second half as the

Lady Rebels (18-9) erased the Lady Tide's 28-24 halftime advantage.

Jackson tied the game at 44-44 with :39 left and Ebony Jones put Picayune up 45-44 with :32 left, but Pearl River rallied on

single free throws from Gabby Jeansonne in two trips to the free throw line and a short jumper by Washington with :08 left to

pull out the win.
