Ocean Springs came into the game with a sparkling 24-2 record with their two losses coming in an elite tournament in Texas.
They remained unbeaten using their superior height in the front line (6-0, 6-1, 6-3) to control the boards. Tee Myers had
9 points and 9 rebounds for Picayune (20-6) and Jasmine Ducree had 6 points and 5 rebounds.

three-pointers late in the game to keep the Maroon Tide in the game. The first put Picayune up 59-57 with 5:15 left and
the other came with 2:53 left to give the Maroon Tide a 64-58 lead. However, Picayune missed the back-end of a one and
one free throw opportunity and then missed the front end of a one and one opportunity to allow the Greyhounds a chance
to tie the game. Picayune (21-6) went scoreless in the last 2 minutes and 16 seconds of the game and turned the ball
over 3 times. Sophomore Shemar Williams had 18 points and 8 rebounds. Junior Eric Peyton added 12 points and 7 rebounds
