Lady Tide 49 d'Iberville 34
The Lady Tide got their 20th win of the season as they defeated the Lady Warriors at Kelly Wise Gymnasium. Picayune (20-7)
led 23-18 at the half before pulling away from the Lady Warriors late in the third quarter with a 8-0 run. Dedrea Magee led the
Tide with 16 points and Jamelle Clark chipped in 13 points. Toi Cook and Ashley Bell each had 6 points for the Lady Tide. Bell's
presence was a welcome site for Picayune as she has been out of action for weeks hampered by a pulled hamstring. The Lady
Tide now turns its attention to Tuesday's Division 5-5A tournament game against Hattiesburg slated for 4:00pm at Oak Grove.
Maroon Tide 66 d'Iberville 53
The Tide had their hands full early in this one, but finally got it going with a big third quarter to record their 20th win of the year in
the regular season finale. With time running out in the second quarter, Cordell Myles drained a 3-pointer from near mid-court at
the buzzer to stake the Tide to a 32-26 halftime advantage. The Warriors kept the game close in the third quarter outscoring
Picayune 13-12 before the Maroon Tide pulled away with a 22 point fourth quarter effort.
Donairies Hair had another double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Radale Brumfield found a way to score
12 points for the Tide despite a tenacious defensive effort from the Warriors Darrell Brown. Manny Jackson had 11 points and
Jarvis Dantzler had 10 points, 8 of his points coming in the second half before he left the game with an ankle injury. Cordell Myles
added 8 points for Picayune. Mark Dragon had 6 points with two 3-pointers in the first half and he also dished out 5 assists in
the game. Brandon Brown, who had been sidelined with an ACL injury, started and was able to score a bucket and grab 4
rebounds. Brown's return is a welcome dose of energy as the Tide now gets ready for the Division 5-5A tournament in Oak Grove.
Joe Raymond led d'Iberville (12-11) with 20 points. Chris Odom and Maurice Lewis had 10 each.
