Picayune makes quick work of Bay High

Maroon Tide 82  Bay High 45

After losing a tough game to Pascagoula last Saturday, Picayune

rebounded with a convincing 82-45 win over Bay High at Kelly

Wise Memorial Gymnasium. 

Picayune (18-3, 9-0) raced to a 38-23 halftime advantage and then

turned it up a notch leading 64-32 after the third stanza.

Randy Perkins paced the Maroon Tide with 18 points and Darionne

Jones was right behind him with 17 points and 5 rebounds.

Chazz Hawkins added 13 and Chris Griffith had 10 points and

8 rebounds.  Clydell Jones had 8 points while sophomore David

McClain made the most of his minutes bagging two 3 pointers for

6 points.

Picayune continues division play at Poplarvile on Friday in division 8-4A

action.

Lady Tide 51  Bay High 24

The last time Picayune played Bay High, Dedrea Magee had a

career high of 40 points.  This time around, the Lady Tide standout

finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists, but teammate

Jamelle Clark pumped in 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds

enabling Picayune to take a 51-24 win over Bay High. 

Breonne Spikes added 8 points for the Lady Tide.

Picayune (19-2, 8-0) will be at Poplarvile on Friday in division 8-4A action.
