Bay High 57 Lady Tide 44

After falling behind 4-0 in the early going against the Lady Maroon

Tide at Kelly Wise Memorial Gymnasium, the Bay High Lady Tigers

lived up to their number one ranking by The Sun Herald newspaper

in overtaking Picayune 57-44. 

The Lady Tide trailed by 15 at half 29-14 and would cut it to 51-41

with 1:07 left in the game on a 3 pointer by Breonne Spikes, but that's

as close as they got as the Lady Tigers (now 6-0) remain undefeated.

Dedrea Magee paced the Lady Tide with 17 points.  Ashley Bell

had 10 points and 7 rebounds, Spikes had 8 points and 5 caroms,

and Toi Jones chipped in with 7 points.  The Lady Tigers got

17 points from Tamara Reed (five 3 pointers), 15 points from Destiny

Porter, 12 points from Crystal Scretching.  All State forward Kendra

Reed finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lady Tide will play at the Alario Center Classic in Westwego

Maroon Tide 61  Bay High 37

The Maroon Tide trailed 11-6 after one quarter, but came storming

back to lead 25-16 at halftime.  The Tide kept pouring it on the second

half leading 42-23 after three.

Eric Vianney led the way with 14 points and 5 assists.  Donairies

"Dino" Hair added 10 points and 6 rebounds.  Cordell Myles had

8 points and 6 rebounds, Chazz Hawkins had 8 points, as did Tony

Foster along with 9 rebounds.

JV Boys 56  Bay High 43

The Tide trailed early, but came on strong behind the play of

Clydell Jones and Randy Perkins to win easily.  Jones nailed

5 three pointers on his way to 17 points and Perkins had 11

points.  Alan Moran chipped in 9 points.
