Coach Shaw is a 1979 graduate of Hancock
North Central High School where he earned
a basketball scholarship to Mississippi
College. He received his degree from
Mississippi College in 1983 and came to
Picayune in the fall of that same year.
He served as an assistant basketball coach
for 1983-1984 and became head coach in
1984-1985. His has spent his entire career
at Picayune except for the 1995-1996 season
at Harrison Central where he won the Girls
State Championship. He returned to Picayune
in 1996. Shaw is married to the former Stacey
Henley of Picayune. They have two children.
