Donel Smith Receives Numerous Awards at Maroon Tide Football Banquet

Picayune held their football banquet on Monday evening and Donel Smith received numerous awards including

the Most Valuable Player. Smith, a two-way starter at offensive guard and defensive end, has signed to play for

the reigning National Champion Pearl River Community College (PRCC) Wildcats.  He will joined at PRCC by

teammates Scott Hillery, Kevin Parker, and Jeffrey Stewart.

Smith also received the Most Valuable Def Lineman, Most Valuable Off Lineman, Heart of a Champion

Award and was named an All State player by the Associated Press.   Smith and Lester Robinson

were named Team Captains.
