by Carey Meitzler

Picayune held 14-0 and 21-7 leads over Slidell, but had their hands full in the fourth quarter and held on for a 21-14 win over

the Tigers at Picayune.

Brandon Marble got the Maroon Tide off to a good start by blocking Slidell's first punt of the night.  Marble blocked the punt

and scooped up the loose football just inside the 10 yard line and dove into the end zone with 8:41 left in the first quarter.

Matt Dragon added the PAT for a 7-0 lead.

Picayune held the Tigers again and forced another punt.  The Maroon Tide started at their 18 yard line and Gabe Hinojosa

busted loose up the middle for a 60 yard scamper to the Tiger 22.  Four plays later, Drew Cole scored from 8 yards out as

he followed tackle Colin Johnson around left end.  Dragon's successful PAT made it 14-0 with 3:32 left in the first quarter.
