1979 Maroon Tide Team Holds Reunion During Homecoming Activities

  The 1979 Maroon Tide football team, the first under the late Calvin Triplett, held a reunion this past

weekend.  The team spent time reminiscing about old times and enjoyed watching the current version

of the Maroon Tide.

   There are ties from this team to the current team.  Micah Hickman is the nephew of Andrew Hickman,

Zach Robbins is the son of Jeff Robbins, and Dale Meitzler is the cousin of Todd Meitzler.

The sign in the above picture is the team sending former teammate Chris Wheatley a Thank You and a Miss You

message.  Wheatley had to leave for his second tour of duty in Iraq on Tuesday, just days prior to the reunion.

There was also a drawing for a 25 year game ball with all the players and coaches listed on the football. 

Curtis McDougle (pictured below) won the football.
