George County jumped out to a 14-0 halftime advantage and

held off Picayune's Freshmen for a 14-6 win at Picayune.

With 5:12 left in the third quarter and facing 4th down and

1 yard to go, Picayune's Drew Cole ran 46 yards for an

apparent touchdown, but an illegal procedure penalty

against the Tide nullified the run.  George County stopped

the Tide on the next play to kill the drive.

The Tide's lone touchdown came on a 44 yard run by

Albert Richards with 3:11 left in the game. The 2pt conversion

failed.

George County converted two first downs on their next possession to

run out the clock.
