Picayune trounces Stone County 13-5

Wiggins--The Lady Tide got back on track with a win defeating

homestanding Stone County13- 5 Friday night behind another strong

performance by pitcher Katie Hebert who allowed only three hits

while fanning 14 batters as the Tide defense committed only one error.

 

The Lady Tide took an early lead as Katie Kent drew a one out walk 

and was followed by consecutive hits from Katie Hebert and Tiffany Reed. 

Rabion then singled to score Kent. 

After a scoreless 2nd inning, the LadyTide took advantage of 4 hit batters

and 4 base on balls and a sharp single from Taylor Seals to score 8 runs. 

Megan Maximo drew a base on balls in the fifth and scored on a single

from Hebert. 

Mallorie Mixon and Kent hit back to back singles in the 7th and Katie

Hebert walked to load the bags.   Brandi Rabion drove in all three runs

with a double. 

 

The Lady Tide will travel to Pearl River Central Monday to play varsity

only action at 5:30.
