Freshman pitcher Katie Hebert struck out 10 of 16 batters, in four innings of work,

while allowing one hit and walking two.  FCAHS scored their only run of the game

when the lead off batter drew a walk and scored on a double with two outs.

The Tide scored two runs in the third when Mallorie Mixon was hit by a pitch to

put a runner at first followed by consecutive hits from Katie Kent and Katie Hebert.

Mixon scored the first run on a passed ball which also moved Kent to third.

Following a strike out, Kent scored on a sacrifice fly from Brandi Rabion.

Taylor Seals singled to start the fourth and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt

from Amanda Green. Seals advanced to third on consecutive walks from Millie Gill

and Mallorie Mixon and eventually scored from third on a passed ball.

Katie Kent took the loss for the Lady Tide, but had a great outing in her

first appearance as a Picayune pitcher.

Gulfport and Picayune tangled for five innings as the pitchers went head to head

in what ended in a tie due to the time limit rule.  Katie Hebert went the distance

striking out 9 of Gulfport's batters and Picayune batters went down swinging 10 times.
