Lady Tide blasts OLA 13-4; gets blanked 5-0 by Wayne County

Carriere--The Lady Tide blasted Our Lady Academy 13-4 in their first game, but Wayne County silenced the Lady Tide bats

in the second game wih 5-0.

The Lady Tide scored runs in each inning after being held scoreless in the top of the first.  Amanda Green reached on an infield

single to drive in Katie Kent for Picayune's first run.  Mallorie Mixon made it 2-0 with a ground out that scored Tiffany Devore

who had reached base on a fielder's choice.   Taylor Seals hit a monster solo home run over the left field fence to lead off the

third inning.  Brooke Ladner had a triple that drove in Kent and Devore.

Ladner would score on Green's single to left field to make it 6-0.  Tiffany Reed plated two runs with a double in the fourth

and Ladner drove in two more runs with a single.

Wayne County  5   Lady Tide  0

The War Eagles pitcher (name not available) pitched a perfect game in the five inning contest.  Wayne County scored four runs

in the third and one in the fourth inning.
