Tiffany Devore inks with William Carey
Submitted by Coach Kristi Mitchell
Tiffany DeVore has signed a national letter of intent to play softball with William Carey University (WCU).
Tiffany is an honor student with a 4.0 grade point average and a score of 30 on the ACT. Tiffany was selected
as an All-State Softball Player in 2010, Most Valuable Player in the District in 2012, serves as the Picayune
Memorial High School Student Body President and volunteers in her community.
"It has been an extreme pleasure to coach Tiffany in high school. Her committment to excellence on the field
and in the classroom has afforded her the opportunity to continue her softball careeer and receive a quality
education. Tiffany has been a starter for the Lady Tide since 7th grade and her committment to the game has
grown stronger each year. I believe Tiffany will only continue to grow in strength, character and skill once she
moves on to William Carey and I look for her to make an immediate contribution to Coach Hogue's Lady
Crusaders," stated Coach Kristi Mitchell.
WCU Head Coach Wendy Hogue was excited about Devore's plans to join the Lady Crusaders. Hogue said,
"We are elated to have Tiffany become a part of our team! When I think back over my coaching career there are
lots of great memories, but very few as fond as the day Tiffany committed to William Carey. She is an extremely
gifted athlete, a phenomenal student, and an even better person. Tiffany is a true five (5) tool athlete and we
anticipateher being an immediate impact on the field and in the lineup".
