The Lady Tide won their second game of the year with a 10-0 five-inning decision

over Poplarville behind the strong pitching of freshman Kasey Mitchell.  Mitchell allowed

only 2 hits, 2 walks and struck out one in recording her second win in as many games.

Left to Right: Casey Mitchell, Amanda Feeley, Courtney Dickens, Krystal Penton

The Lady Tide wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard as sophomore Courtney

Dickens led off the bottom half of the first with a stand up double. She advanced to third

and then scored on consecutive passed balls. Krystal Penton reached on an error advanced

to second on a passed-ball and scored on Amanda Feeley's single. Hope Guidry and
Amanda Stevens both followed with singles and Kristin Fleming drew a walk to score Feeley

to make it 3-0.
In the 2nd inning, Breonne Spikes and Amanda Feeley reached on errors.  Amanda

Stevens singled to plate Spikes. Hope Guidry then delivered a single to drive in two more runs.

The Lady Tide added another run in the third when Dickens walked and eventually scored on

a fielder choice off the bat of Feeley to make it 7-0.

The Lady Tide closed out the scoring in the fifth. Dickens drew a walk and was followed

by a single off the bat of Penton.  Spikes walked and then Feeley delivered a three run triple

to right field to clear the bases and end the game.
Catcher Kristin Fleming had a great game throwing behind the plate as she threw out

two runners attempting to steal.
