Picayune hosts Olympiad

On Saturday October 14, 2006 the Picayune NJROTC hosted their annual Olympiad inviting different units to

attend and compete in a fun day of athletic competitions such as basketball, volleyball, sit-ups, push-ups, shuttle run,

tug-of-war, and the all time favorite knock out drill. The teams that attended were of course Picayune, Covington ,

and Bonnabel. Picayune finished first overall, followed by Bonnabel, and Covington was third.

In the sit- up and push- up competition, Picayune placed first followed by Covington then Bonnabel.

Volleyball was another competition with the action both fierce and fun. Again Picayune came out on top,

but this time Bonnabel placed second and Covington placed third.

The tug-o-war competition put males against males and females against females. Picayune won overall, followed by

Bonnabell and then Covington.

Another competition that took place on Saturday was the basketball game. Picayune came out on top followed by

Covington then Bonnabel.
