NJROTC competes in Covington Drill Meet

In April, Picayune Memorial High School NJROTC traveled to Covington, LA to compete in the 2008 Covington Drill Meet.
Among all the teams, Picayune NJROTC won second place over all, and altogether they recieved 7 trophies and 4 individual
cadet medals. Cadet Simmons recieved two medals for first place in the broad jump and in the 400 meter run. Cadet Cruz took
two second place medals, one in the broad jump and one in the 400 meter run for the female athletics. As for the trophy awards,
Picayune NJROTC placed third in Color Gaurd, second in Unarmed Basic Drill, Armed Basic Drill, and Personnel Inspection,
first in Unarmed Exibition Drill and Armed Exibition Drill, and placed second over all.
