Rob Sigler

Background

Rob was born in the Miss. Delta (Cleveland) and raised in northern
California in the Bay Area where he became a die-hard San Francisco

49ers and Giants fan. In 1978, his family returned to Miss., living in

Gulfport where he graduated from Harrison Central High School.
Rob earned his jounalism and history degree from Delta State University,
taking his first newspaper job in Lanett, Ala. as Sports Editor.
In 1990, Rob returned to the Coast to become Sports Editor of the Picayune
Item where he has remained (except for that brief summer stint at the
Meridian Star in 2001). Rob was also named Associate Editor of the

Picayune Item in 2000 and performs the Managing Editor duties when called upon.
