Maroon Tide Boys take a 1-0 win over Bay High

Homestanding Picayune overcame foggy and damp playing conditions

in posting a 1-0  win over Bay High.

The win was achieved due to an overall great team effort.

The Maroon Tide controlled the ball most of the game receiving strong play

from Nick Riso (10th grader), Blake Haas (9th grader), and Pacer Frierson

(8th grader).

Senior Irving Gonzalez hurt his ankle and was forced to play goal keeper.

He made several nice saves and earned the shutout.

Senior Mitchell Rock played a great game on defense for Picayune.

Joe Burrage did a nice job of quarterbacking the offense.

Picayune's goal came off the foot of Nick Riso. 

The win improved the Boys record to 6-5-1 overall and 2-1 in Region play.
