Picayune, Forrest County Play to 1-1 Tie

Friday night the Picayune Maroon Tide Soccer team traveled to

Brooklyn to take on Forrest County AHS.  Picayune players,

coaches, and fans felt they witnessed some of the most

questionable officiating of Picayune's previous 9 seasons. 

It wasn't that the officials were partial, they just seemed to

miss the majority of calls. 

In the first half neither team had many scoring opportunities,

but a series of defensive breakdowns finally led to a Forrest

County goal. Halfway through the second half Scott Hillery

tied the game when Joe Burrage sent a long pass into the box.  

Hillery beat the goalie to the ball and headed it into the net.  

The game ended as a 1-1 tie.

Kaleb Raybon did a good job in goal coming quickly off his line

and making several key saves.
