Tuesday, January 6th:

Boys: Oak Grove 4  Picayune 3   (contributed by Bill Hillery)

Juan Barajas scored all three goals in the 4-3 loss to the district leading Oak Grove Warriors.  Picayune started

the scoring when Barajas pushed in the rebound of a Britton Fortenberry shot. Oak Grove quickly answered with

2 goals.  Barajas got his 2nd goal on a direct kick from 22 yards out that deflected off of a Warrior defender's leg. 

After 40 minutes of play, the teams went to the half tied at 2-2.

Oak Grove started off the second half off with 2 goals. Barajas finished the game scoring by driving through two

defenders and swerving the ball to the far post with the outside of his foot. Joe Burrage did an outstanding job of

filling in at the center defender position.
