The Picayune Lady Tide hosted Resurrection Catholic High School Friday night in a varsity only matchup.

The Lady Tide jumped out to a quick lead after holding Resurrection scoreless in the 1st inning. In the bottom of the first,Courtney Dickens lead off with a double and moved over to third on a single by Krystal Penton. Amanda Feeley then ripped a 2 run single up the middle to put the Tide up 2-0. Breonne Spikes doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Two quick outs left the Tide with runners in scoring position. Malissa Fowler then stepped to the plate to hit a single that would score Feeley, followed by an RBI single by Allison Bynum to score Spikes. Kristin Fleming then singles to score Fowler and the Lady Tide finds themselves at the top of the order with Courtney Dickens at the plate. Dickens hits a line drive single to leftfield to score Bynum. Krystal Penton comes up next and singles to score Kristin Fleming and Courtney Dickens to give the Lady Tide an 8-0 lead after one inning.

Resurrection managed one run in the second and Picayune answered with three more of their own. Breonne Spikes, Hope Guidry and Amanda Stevens all walked to load the bags. Spikes scored on a fielders choice by Fowler that saw Guidry thrown out at third for the first out. Allison Bynum then ripped a two run single
before two strikeouts finished the inning.

Resurrection added another run in the third but that is all.  Picayune scored twice more in the 4th as Amanda Stevens reached on an error but was later thrown out on a fielders choice by Fowler. Fowler advances to second on a wild pitch and scores on a RBI single from Bynum. Bynum closes out the Tide's
scoring as she rushes around the bags on two wild pitches and scores on a third wild pitch.

Allison Bynum was 3/3 with 4 RBI to pace the Lady Tide on offense.
