Lady Tide gets 2 more wins at Biloxi Tournament

The Picayune Lady Tide notched two more wins in the Biloxi Tournmanent on Saturday.  The Lady Tide rallied to defeat George

County 10-9 and held off East Central 5-2 to complete a three game sweep in tournament.

The Lady Tide jumped out to a 8-0 lead in the first three innings. 

Tiffany Reed drove in Katie Kent, who had singled, to give Picayune a 1-0 lead.  The margin ballooned with a six run second. 

Tiffany Devore and Millie Gill singled with one out.  Natassia Poole walked to load the bases.  Kent drew a walk to force in Devore. 

Brandi Rabion singled driving in Gill.  Hillary Dickens collected a RBI allowing Brooke Ladner, running for Poole, to score.  Taylor

Seals walked forcing in Kent.  Reed reached on an error that brought in Rabion. Mallorie Mixon's fielder choice grounder plated

Dickens to make it 7-0.   Reed's sacrifice fly in the third brought home another run for a 8-0 lead.

George County scored seven runs in the fifth with a combination of tight strike zone resulting in three walks, three hits, and three

Lady Tide throwing errors.  George County scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 9-8 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Tiffany Devore tripled to left center to get the rally started.  Brooke Ladner singled to right field

scoring Devore to tie the game.  Millie Gill singled putting runners on first and second.  Jessica Rancifer singled to center field and

a George County throwing error on the play allowed Ladner to race home with the game winning run.

Tiffany Reed had an inside the park homer over the rightfielder in the second that brought home Taylor Seals who singled to start the inning.

Brandi Rabion doubled in the fifth and scored on Taylor Seals fielder's choice grounder.

East Central scored two runs in the top of the sixth, but the Lady Tide came back with two runs in the bottom of  the inning.  With one out,

Brooke Meitzler singled.  One out later, Katie Kent single to center field.  Brandi Rabion, who had three hits in the game, drilled a double

into the left field corner allowing Meitzler and Kent to score and give Picayune the 5-2 margin.
