Lady Tide thrashes FCAHS Aggies 11-1

Picayune - Brandi Rabion drove in four runs and added a remarkable catch in the outfield in leading Picayune over the Forrest
County Agricultural High School (FCAHS) Aggies 11-1 at the Lady Tide Softball Complex before a enthusiastic crowd of
Lady Tide fans.
After pitcher Sarah Dodd held the Aggies scoreless in the top of the first inning, Katie Kent open the Lady Tide's half of the
inning with a double into the left field corner. She moved to third on Brandi Rabion's sacrifice fly and score on Hillary Dickens'
single to left field to give Picayune a 1-0 lead.
FCAHS scratched across a run in the top of the second and the Lady Tide added two runs in the bottom of the inning.
With two out, Brooke Meitzler walked and Millie Gill singled sharply to left centerfield. Katie Kent walked to load the
bases and Rabion blasted a double off the bottom of the fence to score Meitzler and Gill for a 3-1 lead.

The Lady Tide blew the game open in the third pushing across seven runs. Dickens, who had three hits, doubled to left
and Tiffany Reed walked. Mallorie Mixon singled to center to load the bases. Tiffany "T-Diddle" Devore singled to
score Dickens. Sarah Dodd helped her own cause with an RBI single to left that plated Reed. Meitzler singled to score
Mixon and Gill's fielder's choice grounder enabled Devore to score. Rabion picked up two more RBIs with a single to
deep left field scoring Meitzler. Taylor Seals singled to plate Gill. Dickens drove in Rabion with the last run of the
uprising with an infield single to third base.
Leading 10-1, Dodd kept the Aggies scoreless in the fourth and fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, Katie Kent single to left
field to drive in Brooke Meitzler, who reached on an error, to end the game due to the ten run rule.
Picayune (13-3, 3-1) can clinch a playoff berth with a win at South Jones on Thursday.
