Lady Tide splits games at Pete Jackson Tournament

Poplarville-- Trailing 8-0 to Enterprise, the Lady Tide scored three late runs and suffered an 8-3 loss. However, the Lady Tide
carried that late surge into their second game at the Pete Jackson Memorial Tournament by blanking Petal 7-0.
Against Petal, the Tide scored 6 runs in the top of the 1st on 7 hits and a base on balls . Jessica Rancifer singled to start the inning.
After a fly out, Hillary Dickens singled, then one out later, Brandi Rabion drew a walk to load the bases. With two outs Amanda
Green doubled to score all three base runners. Brooke Ladner singled and Sarah Dodd hit a triple off the center field wall to score
Green and Ladner Millie Gill who had three hits on the night was left stranded as was Beth Crawford who had singled.
The Tide tacked on one more run in the 5th as Brandi Rabion doubled nd scored off the bat of Brooke Ladner who was 3 for 4
on the night for the Lady Tide, now 2-3 on the season.
Picayune hosts Vancleave at the Lady Tide Softball field on Monday with JV action at 6:00pm and varsity to follow at 7:00pm.
