Lady Tide Advances to South State with 10-0;11-1 Sweep

by Carey Meitzler

The fifth line of the Dire Straits song Sultans of Swing goes like this:

You feel all right when you hear that music ring...

\

The only music ringing in the ears of those present at the Picayune Softball

Complex was the "pinging" of the Lady Tide's bats, who showed the

attendees they are definitely the Sultans of Swing, Picayune style.

The Lady Tide ten run ruled the visiting Warren Central Lady Vikes in both

games winning 10-0 and 11-1 to advance to the South State Finals.

The Lady Tide also displayed their prowess on defense by turning in play

after play that delighted the large partisan crowd on hand.

The Tide will play the winner of Moss Point & Meridian on Tuesday.

If Moss Point wins, Picayune will host the Lady Tigers.

If Meridian wins, Picayune will travel to take on the Lady Wildcats.
