Picayune Boys & Girls in South State

The girls finished 3rd with 89 points behind runner-up McComb's 108

and champion Long Beach's 123.5 in the 13 team field. The boys were

4th with 68 points behind champion Moss point's 113.5,Long Beach 110,

and McComb 105 in the 14 team field.


The girls will send 10 entries to state while the boys will send 9 to the 5A

State Meet this Friday at Pearl High School. Field events start at 12:00

and the running at 3:00.

• Jasmine Ducre broke the school record while winning the 400 in a 57.95 time and also won the triple jump at 34'1".
• Hannah Nunez won the high jump at 5'6" and was 2nd in the 100 hurdles.
• Desherra Jackson had a good day also by finishing 2nd in the triple jump,3rd in the long jump and 4th in the high jump.
• Morgan Williams-Woodson took 3rd in the 800.
• T Myers was 4th in the 100 and 300 hurdles.
  

The boys were led by Jonathan Moore's 1st in the 300 hurdles and 3rd place in the 110 hurdles.

• Derrione Stewart was 2nd in the 400
• Malclom Facione was 2nd in the shot
• Jake Polderman 4th in the 1600
• Terrance McCann 4th in the 800.
• All 3 boys relays qualified with the 4x4 relay a very close 2nd, a 3rd in the 4x2,
  and a 4th in the 4x1.
