Picayune Boys &
Girls at State Meet
Submitted by Coach Jerry Todd
The girls scored 59 points to place 5th while the boys scored 29 points to
finish 7th at the State 5A Meet held
at Pearl High School.
"This is the most points we have ever scored at State. The last 3 years
at the
last 3 state meets, 52 points was good enough for 3rd place so this shows
you just how tough and competive this year really was. The boys broke the
4x1 and 4x4 relay school records and
finished 7th and 4th.
"The girls really stepped up and performed great. We were seeded to
score 47 points but most ran a season
best at state,"Coach Todd stated.
